엄마! 이번에 제 미국 친구가 한국에 오기로 했어요.

서울에 4박 5일 동안 있고, 부산에 3박 4일 동안 있을 거예요.
She will be in Seoul for 5 days and 4 nights, and for 4 days and 3 nights in Busan.
1. 경복궁 (Gyeongbokgung Palace)
음..우선 경복궁에 가야지.
Well, first she has to go to Gyeongbokgung Palace.
한국에서 가장 전통적인 장소잖아.
It’s the most traditional place in Korea.
우리한테는 익숙하지만 외국인 친구들에게는 이색적이니까 좋아할 것 같아.

특히 한복을 입고 가면 입장료도 무료고, 사진도 예쁘게 찍을 수 있어.
Especially, if you wear Hanbok, admission is free and you can take pretty pictures.
맞아요. 저도 작년에 경복궁역 근처 대여점에서 한복을 빌렸어요.
That's right. Last year, I borrowed Hanbok from a rental store near Gyeongbokgung Station.
2시간에 12,000원이었는데 괜찮았어요.

경복궁이랑 대여점이 가까워서 시간도 충분했고요.

2. 광화문 (Gwanghwamun)
그리고 경복궁의 입구가 광화문인데,
And the entrance to Gyeongbokgung Palace is Gwanghwamun,
광화문 앞에는 세종대왕 동상도 있어.
and there is a statue of King Sejong in front of Gwanghwamun.
한국어를 공부한다면 세종대왕 동상에 가 보는 건 어때?

그럼 광화문이랑 경복궁을 꼭 가 보라고 할게요.

3. 청계천 (Cheonggyecheon)
그리고 광화문 근처에 청계천이 있어.
And there is Cheonggyecheon near Gwanghwamun.
거기에 회사가 많아서 점심시간에 직장인들이 청계천에서 산책을 많이 해.
There are a lot of companies there, so a lot of office workers take a walk along Cheonggyecheon during their lunch break.
겨울에 가면 빛 축제도 하는데, 볼 만해
If you go in winter, there is also a light festival, which is worth seeing.
청계천은 한강보다 훨씬 작지만 다른 느낌이라서 좋아요.
Cheonggyecheon is much smaller than Han River, but I like it because it feels different.
근데 한 가지 아쉬운 점은 광화문 근처에는 회사가 많아서 높은 빌딩밖에 없어요.
But one thing that is disappointing is that there are many companies near Gwanghwamun, so there are only tall buildings.
한국의 전통적인 느낌이 없어서 아쉬워요.
It's a shame that it doesn't have a traditional Korean feel.
4. 인사동 (Insa-dong)
그렇긴 해. 그러면 인사동 쌈지길에 가면 돼.
That's true. Then you can go to Ssamgil in Insa-dong.
광화문에서 걸어갈 수 있어.
You can walk from Gwanghwamun.
15분 정도 걸릴 거야.

다리가 아프면 택시 타도 돼,

예전에 영국 친구들이 한국에 놀러 왔을 때,

투어버스는 한 번도 안 타 봤는데 편할 것 같아요.

한옥은 일반 사람들이 살던 전통 집이야.
Hanok is a traditional house where ordinary people used to live.
그래서 경복궁이랑 또 다른 분위기야.
So it has a different atmosphere from Gyeongbokgung Palace.

10. 홍대 (Hongdae)
근데 노는 걸 좋아하거나 번화가에 가고 싶으면

홍대나 강남역 근 처 숙소를 예약하는 게 좋아.
it's better to reserve accommodation near Hongdae or Gangnam Station.
늦게까지 놀고 싶으면 거기가 편하지.
If you want to hang out until late, it's comfortable there.
홍대에는 술집이나 클럽이 많아서

24시간 운영하는 카페나 음식점이 많아요.

보통 지하철이나 버스 첫차가 새벽 5시니까

한국은 새벽까지 밖에 있어도 안전해서 좋아요.
